Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about jobsite inspections and our platform.

What is a jobsite inspection?
A jobsite inspection is a systematic walk-through of a construction or work site to check for safety hazards, compliance with regulations, and proper use of PPE. Inspectors use checklists to cover items like fall protection, scaffolding, electrical safety, and housekeeping.
Why use jobsiteinspection.com instead of paper checklists?
Paper checklists get lost, are hard to search, and don't provide follow-up tracking. Our app lets you run inspections on your phone, log Pass/Fail/N/A for each item, capture photos, and assign corrective actions with due dates. Everything is stored in one place and searchable.
What is a corrective action?
When a checklist item fails (e.g., missing guardrail), you create a corrective action: a task assigned to someone with a due date. Track it as open, in progress, or closed. This ensures findings don't fall through the cracks.
Can I customize the checklist categories?
Yes. You can add checklist items with categories like Fall Protection, PPE, Scaffolding, Electrical, and more. Each item can be marked Pass, Fail, or N/A, with optional finding notes and severity for failed items.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can start a free 7-day trial. No credit card required to sign up. Create inspections, run checklists, and assign corrective actions during the trial.
Can my team use the app together?
Yes. Invite team members to your organization. Everyone can run inspections, add checklist items, and manage corrective actions. Works on desktop and mobile — add a shortcut to your home screen for a native app feel.
How do I export or share inspection reports?
Inspection data is stored in your account. Export and sharing features are on our roadmap. Contact us at support@jobsiteinspection.com if you need a specific integration.
